LCCC Delivers Gillette its Fourth Loss of the Season, 86-59

GILLETTE, Wyo. – Early fouls didn't plagued the Laramie County Community College women's basketball team on Saturday, as the Golden Eagles registered their fifth win of the season by defeating Gillette, 86-59.

The Golden Eagles are now 5-3 for the season as they look to continue their road swing on Tuesday, Nov. 21, with a visit to Northwest College. The Trappers also land at 5-3.

Freshman Karli O'Brien (Rapid City, South Dakota) and Sarah Kruthaupt (Las Vegas, Nevada) led the Golden Eagles putting up 14 points. Skylar Backstrom (Castle Rock, Colorado) finished with 11 points. Courtney Walker (Las Vegas, Nevada) also came away with a good scoreline, shooting 4-for-7 from the field, including a 1-for-1 from the three-point line. She also registered four assists.

Azhane Bufford led the Pronghorns with 18 points, followed by Rickie Engesser with 14 and Haley Urbatsch with 12 points. Bufford and Urbatsch each pulled down 11 rebounds.
