Vickie Segelke has been an active member of the world of rodeo for all of her life. Born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming, she was a member of the University of Wyoming rodeo team while obtaining my degree in Education. Teaching and coaching have been her calling, having taught elementary school for 31 years as well as raising and coaching her three daughters and son to numerous rodeo wins, including state and national titles.

She was an active board member of the Colorado Junior Rodeo Association when her daughters were growing up and now continue that role as the Women’s Coach at LCCC. Along with helping others, she competed at pro rodeos and made many trips to the Mountain States Circuit Finals in the barrel race. Segelke also trains barrel horses and has had numerous successful horses in the arena, including those that have competed at the National Finals Rodeo, the college rodeos, high school rodeos and more.

"To say that rodeo and all that it entails is who I am; I also have strong ties to the community here in Cheyenne. I, as well as my three siblings, all reside here and share a great love for the town and state of Wyoming. I love being able to share my passion for rodeo in my hometown and help create future rodeo champions from Laramie County Community College." - Vickie Segelke
