CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Four Laramie County Community College rodeo student-athletes will join four-year programs next fall. Austin Hurlburt and Houston Brown will be joining former Golden Eagle coach Beau Clark at the University of Wyoming. Georgie Lage and Konnar Knotwell will be heading to West Texas A&M University.

Hurlburt finished eighth overall in the Central Rocky Mountain Region standings for Tie-Down Roping with a total of 310 points on the season. He won the Tie-Down Roping event at the Lamar Community College Rodeo with an average of 22.2 on two runs. At the University of Wyoming Rodeo, he wrapped up second with a time of 21.8 on two. Hurlburt also competed in the Steer Wrestling event and had a good showing at the University of Wyoming Rodeo placing fourth and at the Gillette College Rodeo grabbing eighth.

Brown finished third in the All-Around standings in the Central Rocky Mountain Region standings with 960 points. He locked in fifth place in the region standings for Saddle Bronc Riding with 470 points. He missed the first portion of the season due to an injury and bounced back for a strong showing in the spring. Brown won the Saddle Bronc event at the Eastern Wyoming College Rodeo after scoring 155 points on two. The following rodeo he won the same event by scoring 149 on two rides at the Colorado State University Rodeo. Brown placed second at the University of Wyoming Rodeo in the Saddle Bronc with a score of 159 on two rides. Houston finished ninth overall in the Tie-Down Roping Central Rocky Mountain Region standings with 295 points. He finished in a tie for second in the Tie-Down Roping with a 9.3 long-go run and an average of 19.8. Brown placed fourth with an average of 25.2 at the Gillette College Rodeo.

Lage finished 11th overall in the Central Rocky Mountain Region standings in the Breakaway Roping with a total of 238.3 points on the year. She won the Breakaway Roping event at the Sheridan College Rodeo with an average of 5.9 on two runs.  Lage placed third with a time of 6.2 on two at the Gillette College Rodeo.

Lage and Knotwell and the rest of the women's rodeo team had the highest team GPA with 3.44.
