CHEYENNE, WY - The Laramie County Community College men's soccer team saw three players named to the All-Region IX teams this season. Sophomore Azael Marrufo was named to the 2nd Team as a forward while freshman Brandon Young and Jonathan Ruvalcaba were named to the 2nd Team defense. 

Marrufo led the Golden Eagles this season in scoring with eight goals which was also tied for the 7th most in the region. His 19 overall points also put him in 9th in the region for total scoring. The sophomore played in 13 games and more than half of his total shots were on goal during the season. 

Ruvalcaba and Young were both part of a defense for the Golden Eagles that only allowed 1.11 goals against per game in conference play and only 1.92 over the full season. The team also finished the season with a pair of clean sheets which was aided by the play of both centerbacks. Both of them also finished the season with one goal.
