Five Golden Eagles Named to United Soccer Coaches All-West Region First Team

CHEYENNE – Five student-athletes representing men's soccer were selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-West First Team. Cameron Broadhurst (Broomfield, Colorado), Omar Castruita (Boulder, Colorado), Manny Tapia (Longmont, Colorado), Declan Domyan (Johannesburg, South Africa) and Chayce Willett (Cheyenne, Wyoming) were named to the All-West Region First Team. All five were named to the All-Region IX First Team.

Broadhurst, a defensive midfielder from Broomfield, Colorado captained a group that scored 78 goals this season. He was second on the team in goals with 13 and recorded three assists. Over his two years as a Golden Eagle, he scored 17 goals and dished out seven assists.

Cameron is a two-time All-Region selection and was the 2018 Region IX Freshman of the Year.

Castruita an All-Region IX First Team selection led the Golden Eagles in assists with 18. His 18 assists were second best in the country. Omar also scored seven goals on the year for LCCC, including three game-winning goals.

In Tapia's first year in the navy and yellow, he led the Golden Eagles in goals with 15, recorded 32 points in action and dished out two assists. He started in 15 of the 22 games he played in for LCCC.

Domyan played and started 15 games for the Golden Eagles, recording seven clean sheets on the year and making 44 saves on the year.

Willett helped anchored the backline for the Golden Eagles and started in all 22 games this past season for the Golden Eagles.

The Golden Eagles posted an overall record of 16-5-1, while registering an undefeated 10-0 mark in Region IX play, a Region IX Championship and North Central District Championship.

At the National Tournament, the Golden Eagles reached the NJCAA National Tournament semi-finals.
