Men’s Soccer Broadhurst Lands on All-America Second Team

CHEYENNE, WY – Sophomore Cameron Broadhurst (Broomfield, Colorado) was named to the All-America Second Team, announced by the NJCAA on Friday.

Broadhurst, a defensive midfielder from Broomfield, Colorado captained a group that scored 78 goals this season. Broadhurst was second on the team in goals with 13 and recorded three assists. Over his two years as a Golden Eagle he scored 17 goals and dished out seven assists.

Cameron is a two-time All-Region selection and played a critical role in helping the Golden Eagles reach the NJCAA National Tournament for the first time in program history.

The Golden Eagles posted an overall record of 16-5-1, while registering an undefeated 10-0 mark in Region IX play. Broadhurst helped LCCC capture back-to-back Region IX Championships and a District Championship.

At the National Tournament, Broadhurst helped the Golden Eagles reach the NJCAA National Tournament semi-finals. He also scored a goal in their victory over Cowley Community College.
