#5 Titans Shutout Golden Eagles

CHEYENNE, WY – The Laramie County Community College game had their game with #5 Eastern Florida State College moved up a day because of Hurricane Dorian approaching the area. The Golden Eagles were shutout 4-0 Thursday evening. The loss brings the Golden Eagles to 2-1 on the season.

The Titans took the lead in the 39th minute when Aedon Kyra linked up with Damen Marcu who was able to fire a long-range shot that found its way over the top of the Golden Eagles goalkeeper. The Titans added a second right before the half when Curtez Kellman headed in a cross in the 44th minute.

Golden Eagle goalkeepers Tanner Riedel (Laramie, Wyoming) and Mario Munoz (Longmont, Colorado) split time in net during Thursday's match and combined to make five saves. Riedel made two and Munoz had three.

The Golden Eagles and Titans played a pretty tight first half with each team getting quality looks at net. The Titans had the edge in corner kicks 8-2. Eastern Florida had a slight edge in shots, outshooting the Golden Eagles 15-9.

The Golden Eagles match with Broward College has been cancelled for Saturday.
