Boyce Fuels Golden Eagles Comeback

RIVERTON, WY - Ghared Boyce (Brockton, Mass.) scored 30 points off the bench, helping the Golden Eagles (10-11, 7-2) come from behind to beat Central Wyoming (4-14, 3-7) 93-89 on Saturday night.

The Golden Eagles trailed by as much as 13 points in the second half before closing the game on a 36-19 run to win their fourth consecutive game.

Boyce started the late run, scoring 11 of his 30 points in just over two minutes to help the Golden Eagles cut the deficit to single digits. Boyce his five threes in the final 11 minutes of the game.

Xavier McCord (Cheyenne, Wyo.) scored a career-high 30 points in the win while grabbing five rebounds.

Arion Lewis (Philadelphia, Pa.) scored 13 points and dished out seven assists while Erik Oliver (Cheyenne, Wyo.) scored 12 points with nine of those points coming in the second half.

Ashraf Tchadouwa (Toronto, Ontario) scored eight points and grabbed six rebounds.

The Golden Eagles finish the regular season on Monday when they travel to Eastern Wyoming at 7:30 pm. If the Golden Eagles win, they would be the one seed and host the Region IX tournament.
