Lewis, Oliver Lead Golden Eagles Over Trappers

CHEYENNE, WY - Arion Lewis (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Erik Oliver (Cheyenne, Wyo.) each scored 18 points, helping the Golden Eagles (7-11, 4-2) beat Northwest (7-11, 1-7) 71-57 on Sunday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles turned in their best defensive performance of the season on Sunday, holding the Trappers to 57 points, the lowest amount allowed by the Golden Eagles this season.

Lewis scored 10 of the team's first 17 points before finishing with 18, going 7-13 from the field. Oliver also finished with 18, shooting 7-12 from the field with a pair of three-pointers.

Nolan Causwell (Duluth, Ga.) finished with a double-double, tying a career-high with 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. 

Ghared Boyce (Brockton, Mass.) once again provided a spark off the bench, scoring 13 points. 

LCCC hits the road on Wednesday to take on Western Wyoming at 7:30 pm.
