Golden Eagles Fall to Western Wyoming

Rock Springs, Wyoming – The Laramie County Community College men's basketball team lost to Western Wyoming Community College on Wednesday night on the road 70-66. The Golden Eagles started the game strong but were unable to maintain that pace to secure the road win.

Tyrese Potoma (Regina, Canada), Kyle Cabs (Denver, Colorado) and Mateo Zovko (Mostar, Bosnia) led the Golden Eagles in scoring with 10 points each, while Hayden Collier (Rangiora, New Zealand) and David Appelgren (Stockholm, Sweden) chipped in with eight points. Cabs and Cortney Dean (Denver, Colorado) led them in rebounding with six each. Collier had two block shots.

As a team, the Golden Eagles shot 21-of-52 from field for 40.4 percent, 8-of-18 from the three-point line for 44.4 percent and 16-of-25 from the free throw line for 64 percent.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Saturday February 16th at the RAC to take on Gillette College. Tip off is set for 4 p.m.
