SHERIDAN, Wyo. – Laramie County Community College came out strong to post a 93-51 victory over the WY All-Stars in the season opener Friday afternoon in Sheridan, Wyo.

Five players scored in double figures to lead the Golden Eagles. Freshman guard Tyrese Potoma (Regina, Canada) scored a team-high 18 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including sinking four the Golden Eagles' 13 three-point field goals.

Freshman Mateo Zovko (Mostar, Bosnia) tallied 14 points. Daequan Spragion (Brooklyn, New York) had 13 points, while Hayden Collier (Rangiora, New Zealand) and David Appelgren (Stockholm, Sweden) each finished with 11 points. Stephane Manzi (Nyamirambo, Rwanda) posted a team-high 11 rebounds.

The Golden Eagles outrebounded the WY All-Stars, 45-33, and made nine for three-pointers. Laramie County led 40-28 at halftime.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 3 against Otero Junior College in Sheridan, Wyoming.
