Dr. Cindy Henning has been appointed for a three-year period to serve as the college’s interim executive director of athletics, recreation, and exercise science.
In this role, she will serve as the college’s athletic director and oversee the degree and certificate programs in exercise science.
A graduate of Cheyenne’s East High School, Henning’s 20 years of athletic experience includes playing volleyball at the University of Northern Colorado, as well as teaching and coaching at the K12 and collegiate levels in Colorado and South Dakota.
In 2010, she came to LCCC to serve as the program director for the exercise science program. Henning also served in an interim capacity as LCCC’s volleyball coach and dean of the School of Health Sciences & Wellness.
Earlier this year Henning completed her doctoral degree in educational leadership from the University of Wyoming.
