Volleyball Falls to McCook at Region IX Tournament

STERLING, Colo. – The Laramie County Community College volleyball team season came to an end as they were downed by McCook Community College in four sets, 25-23, 23-25, 23-25, 19-25. The Golden Eagles end the season 11-24.

Cameron Callahan (Parker, Colorado) put down a successful attack to give LCCC an early lead in the first set. McCook would go on a run and level things up at 11-11. The rest of the set was tight the entire way but the Golden Eagles would close the out the set with a 25-23 win.

Laramie County fell behind by three early and trailed in a tight second set. Following a Golden Eagle timeout, consecutive hitting errors by McCook allowed for LCCC to regain the lead at 15-14. MCC would go on a run and hold on to win the set.

The Golden Eagles were down four in the third set but used a 5-0 run to regain the lead midway through. McCook answered with a 6-0 run and closed out the set 25-20.

LCCC would get off to a great start in set four taking an early lead but the Lady Indians answered back with a run of their own to take the lead. MCC would go on a late push to take the set 25-19.
