Volleyball Losses Last Two Matches at Starr Invitational

TWIN FALLS, ID – Laramie County Community College Volleyball lost a pair of decisions on Saturday in day two of the Starr Invitational tournament in Twin Falls, Idaho to move to 1-12 on the season.

The Golden Eagles fell to Missouri State University – West Plains, 25-22, 16-25, 17-25, 25-21, 12-15 and #14 College of Southern Idaho, 20-25, 20-25, 25-23, 23-25.

The Golden Eagles will have the week off before returning to action next Tuesday Sept. 17th as they host Otero Junior College at 6 p.m. in the RAC.

In the Missouri State University – West Plains lost, Gwen Sheldon (Loveland, Colorado) had 31 assists; McKayla Earl (Rawlins, Wyoming) had 18 digs; Cassidy Nelson (South Jordan, Utah) had 20 kills; Kyla Childers (Parker, Colorado) had 14 kills; and Nelson had 17 digs.

In the College of Southern Idaho loss, Shelby Veenstra (Twin Falls, Idaho) had 26 assists and 18 digs; Nelson had 19 kills and Kalme Moncavo (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) had 15 kills; Early had 14 digs; and Nelson had 13 digs. Francesca Rossi (Rome, Italy) had two service aces.
