Volleyball Suffer 3-2 Loss to WNCC Cougars

CHEYENNE, WY – Golden Eagles volleyball dropped a 3-2 score to Western Nebraska Community College Tuesday evening in the RAC. Laramie County falls to 1-8 on the season.

The Cougars (7-3) took the first two sets 25-22 and 25-21 before LCCC stormed back to take sets three and four 25-21 and 25-19. Western Nebraska took the fifth set 15-11.

For the Golden Eagles, Cassidy Nelson (South Jordan, Utah) had a season-high 20 kills. Cameron Callahan (Parker, Colorado) had 15 and Kyla Childers (Parker, Colorado) had 13 kills. Gwen Sheldon (Loveland, Colorado) had 36 assists and Shelby Veenstra (Twin Falls, Idaho) had 22 assists. Nelson had 14 digs, while Kendzee Cloward (South Jordan, Utah) and McKayla Earl (Rawlins, Wyoming) each had 13 digs.

The Golden Eagles will head to the Starr Invitational in Twin Falls, Idaho this weekend.
