Stack And Espinoza Sign With CSU-Pueblo

CHEYENNE – The Laramie County Community College volleyball team had two players sign National Letters of Intent with CSU-Pueblo. Payton Stack (Casper, Wyoming) and Jazzy Espinoza (Cheyenne, Wyoming) will join the Thunderwolves this upcoming fall.

Stack, the former Casper Kelly Walsh standout recorded 238 kills this season for the Golden Eagles and named to the Region IX North First Team. She adds this award along with being named to the All-Conference First-Team. She finished 466 kills in her career at LCCC with on 1.65 kill per set, 1120 total attacks, .273 hitting percentage, 75 digs, 226 block assists and 18 solo blocks. Stack this past season had season-high 12 kills and .579 hitting percentage against Northeast Community College on September 14th.

"I'm excited that I get to spend two more years with Coach Albers," said Stack. "I'm going to the all of the people that I've got to know at LCCC but excited for a new atmosphere."

Espinoza also earned Region IX North First Team honors. She was also named to the All-Conference First-Team and was the Region IX North Freshman of the Year. The former Cheyenne East high graduate tallied 216 kills on 472 total attacks for a hitting percentage of .345. That was the highest percentage on the Golden Eagles roster. She added four service aces, 77 block assists and 50 digs.

"I really enjoyed the campus and really enjoyed playing for Coach Albers at LCCC, so I'm excited that I will get to reunite with him," said Espinoza.

The Thunderwolves finished 5-22 last season and compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Former Golden Eagle head coach Austin Albers was hired last month as the new coach at CSU-Pueblo.
