Powell, Wy. – The Golden Eagles Volleyball team defeated Northwest College 3 sets to 0. LCCC's record goes to 17-7 overall and 5-0 in Region IX North play.
Laramie County won the first set 25-19, second set 25-18 and third set 25-9. Avery Nelson (Colorado Springs, Colorado) collected 16 kills and four blocks on the evening. Jazzy Espinoza (Cheyenne, Wyoming) finished with seven kills and six blocks. Kasandra Sturges (Parker, Colorado) finished the night with 22 assists and seven digs.
"It was a long road trip and it was nice to see us get off the bus and play quality volleyball," said head coach Austin Albers. "We'd like to be a little bit more consistent from start to finish but at the end of the day we got the result we wanted and we'll look to be better tomorrow."
The Golden Eagles return to action Saturday, October 6 at 3 p.m., on the road at Sheridan College.
