#12 Volleyball Drops Match to Otero

CHEYENNE, Wyoming – For the first time in two years, the #12 Laramie County Community College volleyball team dropped a match at home to unranked opponent. Tuesday the Golden Eagles hosted Otero Junior College and in four sets on the evening (25-27, 18-25, 25-17 and 22-25).

Elizabeth Clark (Sandy, Utah) led the team with 16 kills and five blocks on the evening. Avery Nelson (Colorado Springs, Colorado) was also in double figures with 14 kills. Gracyn Voggesser (Fort Collins, Colorado) led with 11 digs on the night. McKayla Earl (Rawlins, Wyoming) and Kyle Meltzer (Fort Collins, Colorado) each had 10 digs.

"We got started flat, we stayed flat for too long and Otero played a really strong match," said head coach Austin Albers. "Our coaching staff needs to be more consistent with our expectations in practices and this one falls on us. We'll regroup and go forward from here."
