Carlee Morrison Signs with Francis Marion University

Cheyenne, Wyo. – Laramie County Community College sophomore volleyball player Carlee Morrison has signed with NCAA DII Francis Marion University. The Gypsum, Colorado native will join the Patriots who are located in Florence, South Carolina.

As a sophomore, she was second in kills on the team with 383 on the season and third in kills per set at 2.61. Morrison was second on the team in digs with 381. Carlee led the Golden Eagles with 71 serving aces on the year and now holds the LCCC record for most serving aces in a season. She was among the nation's leaders in serving aces per set and total kills. She helped the Golden Eagles finish 34-8 on the year, winning the Region IX North title and reaching the NJCAA National Tournament for the first time in school history.

Morrison was named to the NJCAA All-America second team, was the Region IX North Player of the Year, All-Region IX North first team and WCCAC All-Conference first team honors. As a freshman, she earned All-Region IX first honors, All-Region Tournament team and second team WCCAC All-Conference.

The Patriots are an NCAA DII program and finished 9-18 overall last season. They compete in the Peach Belt Conference.
