RIVERTON, WY – The Laramie County Community College volleyball team put together a stellar effort Saturday afternoon as they swept Central Wyoming College Rustlers in straight sets 25-21, 25-14, 25-20 in Region IX North play.
The Golden Eagles (23-6, 8-1) dominated the first contact with nine aces and zero receiving errors. The defense was scrappy and kept the ball alive.
Kyra Brandt (Amsterdam, Netherlands) played a complete game by dishing 31 assists and seven digs. Brandt led the way in assists while Carlee Morrison (Gypsum, Colorado) and Macy Bourn (Frederick, Colorado) led in digs with 14. Morrison added 13 kills and Avery Nelson (Colorado Springs, Colorado) had 12 kills with seven digs.
The Golden Eagles are back in action Wednesday night playing at Eastern Wyoming College at 7 p.m.
