Golden Eagles Battle Back Against Casper

CASPER, Wyoming – The Laramie County Community College Golden Eagles volleyball team picked up a big 3-2 road win (25-19, 22-25, 18-25, 25-22, 15-12) decision on Saturday at Casper College.

The Golden Eagles improve to 17-5 overall on the season and 2-0 in Region IX North play.

Freshman Payton Stack (Casper, Wyoming) posted a team-high 20 kills on 32 attempts for a .500 hitting percentage, while also contributing with a block. Freshman Avery Nelson (Colorado Springs, Colorado) and Kylie Martin (Gypsum, Colorado) followed behind connecting 17 kills apiece. Nelson hit .157 and Martin hit .225.

The Golden Eagles defense was led by a 27 dig performance from freshman Macy Bourn (Frederick, Colorado).

As a team, LCCC hit .194 to Casper's .206, and recorded seven service aces to the Thunderbirds four.

The Golden Eagles will welcome Western Wyoming Community College on Friday. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
