Golden Eagles Take Match at Garden City

Garden City, KS – The Golden Eagles volleyball team improved to 8-4 on the season with a win over Garden City Community College. Laramie County won the match in four sets (25-18, 25-15, 12-25, 26-24).

Two Golden Eagles were in double figures in kills as Carlee Morrison led the way with 16 and Avery Nelson had 14. Morrison had a big evening with 18 digs and four aces. One of those aces was the game winner as the Golden Eagles ran out of subs.

Kyra Brandt paced the attack with 30 assists and added nine digs and two aces. Macy Bourn spearheaded the back line defense with 27 digs, while Morrison tallied 18 and Brandt added nine.

Laramie County will remain on the road as they travel to McCook, Nebraska and compete in the McCook Triangular hosted by McCook Community College. The Golden Eagles will play North Platte Community College and McCook Community College on Tuesday September 12th.
