Ridgway Signs with Sacred Heart University

Laramie County Community College sophomore volleyball player Kiley Ridgway signed a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday afternoon with Sacred Heart University.

Ridgway was an All-Region performer for the Golden Eagles the last two seasons and was third in the country this season with 133 blocks assists and eighth in the country total blocks at 151.

"I'm going to miss having Kiley around as she was someone I could coach tough yet able to joke around with. She really did a nice job of informing me when I was too serious and needed to step back a bit for the team," said head coach Austin Albers. "She is going to provide them with a high volleyball IQ and the fact that she's played quality opponents should help her insert herself into the lineup."

Having verbally committed back in April, Ridgway was eager to sign. "The signing process is the icing on the cake and I can now focus to prepare for my future," said Ridgway. "The junior college level has helped me develop every aspect of my game from attack, passing and blocking. I owe a lot to my coaching staff," stated Kiley.

She helped lead the Golden Eagles to a 28-10 year and 2nd place finish at the Region IX North Tournament. The Pioneers are a NCAA DI program and a member of the MAAC. They are 19-7 on the year.
