Melbourne, Florida – LCCC women's soccer closed out pool play against #1 Monroe College and gave them a run throughout the entire game but the Mustangs scored three second half goals to pull out a 3-2 win. The loss pushes Laramie County's record to 15-2-2 on the season.
Faith Meredith (Cheyenne, Wyoming) got LCCC on the board first in the 52nd minute. Monroe answered with three straight goals from Luana Grabias in the 61st, 69th and 78th minute. Taylor Meyrick (Cheyenne, Wyoming) would score in the 84th minute to cut the lead down. Lauren Amerena (West Sussex, England) led LCCC in shots with six. Larissa Sitzler (Hamburg, Germany) had six saves in goal.
