Women’s Soccer Advances to Final after Shootout Win Over Sheridan College

DENVER, Colo. – The Laramie County Community College women's soccer team won in a penalty kick shootout against Sheridan College on Saturday.

After a scoreless 110 minutes of action LCCC (14-0-2) won 5-4 in a penalty kick shootout after Amber Carlson (Cheyenne, Wyoming) finished her pk to send the Golden Eagles to the Region IX Final.

Laramie County held Sheridan to five shots in regulation. The Golden Eagles put up 17 shots and 13 on goal.

Goalkeeper Larissa Sitzler (Hamburg, Germany) made three saves in regulation and two big saves in the shootout.

LCCC is back in action on Sunday, Nov. 3rd in the Region IX Final against Gillette College. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. at Regency Athletics Complex at Metro State University in Denver, Colorado.
