Women’s Soccer Defeats CWC 14-0

LANDER, WY – Lauren Amerena (West Sussex, England), Abree Hill (Casper, Wyoming), Darby Whiteley (Bungendore, Australia) and Shaney McCabe (Dundee, Scotland) netted a pair of goals to help #4 Laramie County Community College (7-0-1) remain unbeaten with a 14-0 win over Central Wyoming College (1-7) Saturday afternoon in Lander, Wyoming.

The Golden Eagles controlled the entire game and got on the board in the 3rd minute when Faith Meredith (Cheyenne, Wyoming) found Amerena for her first goal. Meredith would then convert on the score sheet in the 7th minute to double the lead on a pass from Beyonce Robinson (Ontario, Canada). Amerena's second goal came in the 9th minute on a pass from McCabe. Hill, Christina De Andres (Baleres, Spain), Avery Potter (Casper, Wyoming), Whiteley and McCabe would get on the score sheet in the first half. LCCC lead 8-0 at half.

McCabe, Whiteley, Robinson, Hill, Eli Olsen (Buffalo, Wyoming) and Amber Carlson (Cheyenne, Wyoming) would score goals in the second half.

Laramie County continues Region IX action Saturday with a game at Central Community College in Columbus, Nebraska at 11 a.m. CT.
