Cheyenne, Wyo. – The #12 Laramie County Community College Women's Soccer team recorded their ninth shutout of the season, as LCCC picked up a 2-0 home victory over Northeastern Junior College Saturday afternoon in a Region IX Quarter-final.
Annie Rolf (West Sussex, England) scored the first goal in the 56 minute to notch her fifth goal of the season help move them to 10-5 overall and onto the Region IX Semi-finals. Taylor Stoeger (Green River, Wyoming) doubled the lead in the 66th minute off a penalty kick.
LCCC outshot NJC 26-0 and Ellie Bowman (Sussex, England) did not have to record a save.
Rolf's goal came off a cross from Alexis Hobbs (Kent, England) on a free kick from the right side that was finished by Rolf.
The victory sets up a big match Friday when Laramie County plays Gillette College in a Region IX Semi-final with kickoff at 11:30 a.m. in Denver, Colorado at Metro State University.
