CHEYENNE, WYOMING – The Laramie County Community College women's soccer team were home on Saturday for a Region IX North match-up against Sheridan College. The Golden Eagles earned a 2-0 win against Sheridan.
Laramie County had their first goal in the 33rd minute as Amber Carlson (Cheyenne, Wyoming) tapped in a cross from Taylor Stoeger (Green River, Wyoming). Freshman, Shaney McCabe (Dundee, Scotland) scored in 89th minute on a pass from Alexis Hobbs (Kent, England).
McCabe led the Golden Eagles in shots with five in the match. The Golden Eagles outshot the Generals 18-6 in the game. LCCC also had the edge in corner kicks 7-3. Ellie Bowman (Essex, England) recorded four saves for the Golden Eagles.
The Golden Eagles will travel to Gillette College on Tuesday for an 11:00 AM kickoff to close out Region IX North play.
