Cheyenne, Wyo. – On Saturday afternoon the Golden Eagles hosted Northwest College for a Region IX North match. The Golden Eagles topped the Trappers 6-0, giving LCCC a record of 8-4 overall and 6-0 in Region IX North play.

Katie Loken (Cheyenne, Wyoming) gave the Golden Eagles an early lead, landing a beautiful finish off a corner by Shaney McCabe (Dundee, Scotland) to make the score 1-0 in the 8^th minute. The Golden Eagles made it 2-0 in the 26^th minute on a goal by Alexis Hobbs (Kent, England). Taylor Stoeger (Green River, Wyoming) had the assist. Possession favored the Golden Eagles and added a third goal in the 28^th minute as McCabe finished a cross from Noemi Amaro (Gering, Nebraska). McCabe got her second goal of the game in the 31^st minute on a pass from Annie Rolf (West Sussex, England). Thalita Portela Faria (Sao Paulo, Brazil) scored in the 33^rd minute on an assist from McCabe. The Golden Eagles took a 5-0 lead into the half.

The second half was controlled by LCCC. Rolf made it 6-0 on shot from 18yds out on a pass from Stoeger. Goalkeeper Ellie Bowman (Essex, England) didn't have to make a save on the afternoon.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action Wednesday, October 10^th at 1 p.m. taking on Gillette College in Gillette.
