LCCC Women’s Soccer Get 1-0 Win

SHERIDAN, Wyoming – Noemi Amaro (Gering, Nebraska) gave her Golden Eagle teammates a huge boost with a goal in the 55th minute.

Striking her shot in the back of the net ignited a fire in the determined Laramie County Community College women's soccer team Saturday, as the Golden Eagles went on to a 1-0 victory over Sheridan College on the road.

LCCC is now 6-4 overall and 4-0 in Region IX North play. Having played a strong non-conference has prepared the Golden Eagles for tough tight matches as they were able to hold the lead on the scoreboard.

Patient and poised, the Golden Eagles stuck to a determined game-plan to minimize the goal-scoring chances for the Generals.

The best shot for the home team came in first half but the shot sailed up and over the goal. Ellie Bowman (Essex, England) made four saves to finish with the shutout. Taylor Stoeger (Green River, Wyoming) had the assist on Amaro's goal.

The Golden Eagles, who have won four in a row will be back in action on the pitch next Wednesday Oct. 3rd at 6:30 p.m., when the Golden Eagles travel to Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs.
