COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – The #8 Laramie County women's soccer team ran into a tough outing falling to national power #2 Tyler Junior College 3-1 in Council Bluffs, Iowa on Saturday. The game was played in a neutral field.
The Apaches got off to quick start Anakaren Gonzalez, Jaia Riggan and Hitomi Kono scored first half goals for Tyler. Annie Rolf (West Sussex, England) scored the lone goal for the Golden Eagles and goalkeeper Ellie Bowman (Essex, England) was tested and turned away two shots. Rolf scored her first goal of the season in the 65th minute.
Laramie County outshot Tyler 19-8 and 13-5 in shots on goal.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Sunday when they play the host school Iowa Western Community College.
