Cheyenne, Wyo. – Three Laramie County Community College women's soccer players signed National Letters of Intent with NAIA programs. Kelly Morine, Maria da Silveira and Simone Marcus will continue to study and play at four-year programs.
Morine, a native of Denver, Colorado signed with Tennessee Wesleyan University in Athens, Tennessee. She played in 10 games this season and started in six of those recording 664 minutes of action. She only gave up nine goals all year long and posted a 1.22 goals-against average. She recorded 28 saves on the year and had a game-high seven saves against Snow College on Nov. 4th in a District match to propel the Golden Eagles to the National Tournament. In two years at LCCC, she played in 22 matches and started in eight only giving up 10 goals and recording 41 career saves.
The Bulldogs finished the year 15-5-2 and captured the Appalachian Athletic Conference Title and reaching the quarterfinals of the NAIA Nationals Tournament.
Da Silveira has signed with Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. The Porto Alegre native played in 19 games and started in 15 for the Golden Eagles in 2017. She dished out seven assists and scored five goals this past season. In her two years at LCCC, she had 11 career assists and six goals in 43 matches as a midfielder.
The Yellowjackets finished 14-5-1 this past season and reached the Heart of American Athletic Conference Championship game.
Marcus has signed with Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri. The Flager, Colorado native played in 12 games for the Golden Eagles this season after transferring from Northeastern Junior College. She recorded four assists and a goal. In 2016, she was an All-Region IX 2nd team performer.
The Vikings finished the year 11-7-1 last season and reached the semi-finals of the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
All three helped the Golden Eagles go 17-2 on the year and capturing a Region IX Championship and a berth at the NJCAA National Tournament for the ninth year.
