Three Women’s Soccer Players Sign with Four-Year Programs

Cheyenne, WY – Three Laramie County Community College women's soccer players signed letters of intent with four-year programs on Wednesday afternoon. Elise Atkins signed with NCAA DII West Texas A&M University, Natalie de Marco signed with Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and Lauren Passini inked with University of Sioux Falls (SD).

Atkins, the Haxtun, Colorado native scored five goals and had five assists this past season for the Golden Eagles. In her two season with LCCC she scored 12 goals and five assists while recording 42 shots in her career.

The Lady Buffs finished the year 11-7-5 this past season and won the Lone Star Conference Tournament and earned an automatic berth into the NCAA South Central Regional.

De Marco, a Canberra, Australia native dished out a third best on the team 12 assists this past season along with four goals. She had 18 assists in two years at LCCC and five goals as a midfielder. Natalie also made the All-Region IX first team as a midfielder.

The Cougars of Mount Royal were 4-6-4 this past year.

Passini was a defender for the Golden Eagles who started in all 19 games she played in for LCCC anchoring the back line. The back line only allowed five goals during the regular season. The Sheridan native was on the All-Region IX second team.

The Cougars of USF finished 5-9-4 this past season and compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

The three helped the Golden Eagles reach the NJCAA National Tournament and to a 17-2 overall record this past season.
