Cheyenne, Wyo – The Laramie County Community College women's soccer staff was named the United Soccer Coaches Women's West Region Staff of the Year for Junior College Division 1 institutions.

Head Coach Jim Gardner led the Golden Eagles to a 17-2 overall record. They captured the Region IX Title, District C Title and earned a spot at the NJCAA National Tournament. 

He is assisted by Rebecca Valdez and Kay Olivas.

The honor is a result of a vote by other coaches in the west region who are also members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services program.

The staff will be recognized at the College Coaches Reception during the Convention in Philadelphia, January 18, 2018.
