Women’s Soccer Place Three on All-American List

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Laramie County Community College women's soccer sophomore forward Nikita Woods (Corrimal, Australia) earned First Team All-American honors as announced by the NJCAA office on Monday.

Freshman Katie Loken (Cheyenne, Wyoming) also joined Woods on the All-American First Team. Voting for the All-American teams was conducted by the NJCAA.

Woods finished the season with a team-best 25 goals and 60 points. She was ranked 14th in the country in goals. She has scored 37 career goals for the Golden Eagles in her two-year span.

Loken anchored the back line while scoring five goals and dishing out two assists. She was part of a back line that posted 13 shutouts on the season.

Woods and Loken were also named to the United Soccer Coaches First Team. Sophomore Abby Morillon (Cheyenne, Wyoming) was named to the Second Team. Morillon scored 14 goals and dished out 13 assists on the season.

Laramie County finished its season 17-2 with an 8-0 mark in Region IX North play. The Golden Eagles captured their 11th Region IX title and 9th District title and made it to the NJCAA National Tournament.
