Women's Soccer Falls in Final Game of Pool Play

BREVARD COUNTY, FL  -  Laramie County Community College's women's soccer team fell to ASA Brooklyn 7-3 in the final game of pool play Wednesday at the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament at Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, FL.

Laramie County Communty College matched ASA Brooklyn throughout the first half as Taylor Stoeger opened the scoring with 19 minutes and 35 seconds remaining, tapping in a nice cross from Maria de Silveira to make it 1-0.

ASA Brooklyn answered about a minute and a half later when Estelle Badoadana made a break for Kaylane Araujo's thru ball and Badoadana put it in the far corner to tie the game. With 10:48 left in the first half, Iana Freitas scored to make it 2-1.

But Laramie County Community College tied it at the 6:16 mark as de Silveira hit a nice shot past the ASA Brooklyn goalkeeper.

Nikita Woods made it 3-2 three minutes into the second half but it was all ASA Brooklyn from there.

Laramie County Community College finishes the season 17-2.
