DENVER, Co. – The Laramie County Community College women's soccer team beat Sheridan College, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon in the Region IX Championship game.
Laramie County 15-1 overall was held scoreless the first half. Annie Rolf (West Sussex, England) scored on an assist by Nikita Woods (Corrimal, Australia) in the 49th minute.
LCCC added a second goal in the 55th minute when Abby Morillon (Cheyenne, Wyoming) tapped in a pass from Taylor Stoeger (Green River, Wyoming).
LCCC finished with a 19-7 edge in shots and a 10-2 advantage in shots on goal.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Nov. 4 against Snow College at 1p.m. at home. The winner will go on to the NJCAA National Tournament.
