LCCC Women’s Soccer win 10-0 Outplaying Western Nebraska

CHEYENNE – The #2 Laramie County Community College women's soccer team had a strong showing at home against Western Nebraska Community College in a 10-0 victory over the Cougars on Saturday.

LCCC (13-1, 8-0) put up 51 shots in the match including 36 that were on the frame. The Golden Eagles outshot and overpowered the Cougars throughout the contest, finishing the contest with a 51-3 advantage in shots.

The first goal in the contest came in the 20th minute on a shot from Abby Morillon (Cheyenne, Wyoming) that was passed by Annie Rolf (West Sussex, England). Second goal came in the 31st minute as Morillon netted her second goal on a pass from Taylor Stoeger (Green River, Wyoming). The third goal came right before the half in the 41st minute when Nikita Woods (Corrimal, Australia) found Natalie de Marco (Canberra, Australia).

In the second half, LCCC poured it on scoring seven more times in the half. Woods would record three of those goals, Morillon, Stoeger and Maria da Silveira (Porto Alegre, Brazil) recorded goals. Western Nebraska also scored an own goal. Rolf and de Marco dished out two more assists in the second half. Stoeger handed out another assist as well.

Nicole Robinson (North Platte, Nebraska) and Kelly Morine (Denver, Colorado) split time in goal and each recorded one save.

LCCC will now meet Western Wyoming Community College on Friday at 4 p.m. in a Region IX Semi-final down in Denver, Colorado at Metro State University.
