Golden Eagles Win 3-0 against Generals

SHERIDAN – The #2 Laramie County Community College women's soccer team was tested on Saturday afternoon in a 3-0 win against Sheridan College.

LCCC (12-1, 8-0) outshot Sheridan College 22-4. Taylor Stoeger (Green River, Wyoming) led the team in shots with six.

The Golden Eagles have now won eight games in a row and pushed their shutout streak to five.

As the first half was winding down, LCCC was able to find the board in the 45th minute as Stoeger found Abby Morillon (Cheyenne, Wyoming) for the first goal of the match. Coming out of the half the Golden Eagles picked up the tempo and extended the lead in the 48th minute when Stoeger got her second assists by finding Nikita Woods (Corrimal, Australia). Woods would get her second of the match in the 61st minute when she converted a pass from Elise Atkins (Haxtun, Colorado).

Ellie Bowman (Essex, England) started in goal and recorded six saves in 75 minutes of action. Nicole Robinson (North Platte, Nebraska) came on for the final 15 minutes.

LCCC will look to extend its current eight-game winning streak with a win on Oct. 21st against Western Nebraska Community College in a Region IX Quarterfinal at home. The Golden Eagles are the #1 seed from the North. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
