Danielle Rinaldo was named Interim Head Women's Basketball Coach in May after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach for the Golden Eagles.

Last season, the Golden Eagles went 18-13 with a 10-11 Region IX record. Rinaldo helped oversee the development of Haylie Anderson who became the LCCC women's basketball all-time leading scorer with 742 career points.

Rinaldo helped the LCCC women's basketball program to its winningest season under former Head Coach Brian Ortmeier in the 2018- 19 season, going 19-12, 12-9 in Region IX play.

Danielle played at Northeastern Junior College and moved on to NCAA Division II Colorado  Mesa University. While on both teams,  she helped her teams advance to the conference and national championship tournament in 2013 and 2015. Danielle graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a bachelor’s degree in  Kinesiology Health and Fitness Promotion with a minor in Personal Training. She also has her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  As an intern in the CMU Strength and Conditioning Department,  Rinaldo worked with multiple DII teams such as men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, rugby, volleyball, and swimming.

Prior to joining LCCC she helped coach AAU basketball in Grand Junction, worked camps across the region, and with individuals. 

Rinaldo was born and raised in Sterling, Colorado, and graduated from Merino High School in 2012. Rinaldo was a three-sport athlete playing volleyball, basketball, and track attending state for all three sports freshmen through senior year.
