CHEYENNE, Wyoming – After missing all of last season, redshirt freshman Gabi O'Connor (Colorado Springs, Colorado) was named to the All-Region IX North Team, announced by the league.
O'Connor, the first Laramie County player to earn All-Region IX honors since the program was brought back in 2016. Last season, Karli O'Brien (Rapid City, South Dakota) was named to the All-Region IX Defensive Team.
In her first season in an LCCC uniform, O'Connor made her mark as one of the best scorers and shooters for the Golden Eagles. She led them in scoring a total of 443 points and hitting 67 three-pointers in the season. O'Connor averaged 15.3 points per game and assists at 2.4 assists per game.
On the season, the redshirt freshman guard scored in double figures in 24 contests and 15+ points in 17 contests.
