Golden Eagles Defeat Sheridan College

CHEYENNE, Wyoming – Laramie County Community College Women's Basketball picked up a win versus Sheridan College in an 84-71 route. The Golden Eagles forced SC to 24 turnovers and recorded 15 steals. A strong 23 point first quarter helped get them going. LCCC would go on to dominate having exploits quarters putting up 20 in the second and 25 points in the fourth.

They now sit 12-7 on the season and 3-1 in the Region IX North.

Laramie County was led by Haylie Anderson (Clearfield, Utah) with 21 points. Ja'Kia Wells (Mesquite, Texas) and Robbie Johnson (Crowley, Texas) led them in steals with three apiece. Johnson also had 10 points and a team-high four assists. Alexis Lamoreaux (Eaton, Colorado) and Courtney Walker (Las Vegas, Nevada) each had a block in the game. Gabi O'Connor (Colorado Springs, Colorado) added 18 points, three assists, two rebounds and a steal. Karli O'Brien (Rapid City, South Dakota) put in 13 points. Aerial Stephenson (Garland, Texas) led them in rebounds with six in the game.

Up next, they will host Western Wyoming Community College for a Region IX North match Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 5:30 PM.
