Golden Eagles Earn Lopsided Win Over CSU Club Team on Saturday

McCook, Nebraska – The Laramie County Community College women's basketball team won its sixth game of the season in a 79-22 decision against CSU Club Team Saturday afternoon.

LCCC stands at 6-3 so far this season.

Karli O'Brien (Rapid City, South Dakota) was the game highest scorer with 18 points, shooting 6-12 from the field and pulling down seven rebounds. Gabi O'Connor (Colorado Springs, Colorado) chipped in 15 points to go with four assists. Two other Golden Eagles were in double figures scoring with Aerial Stephenson (Garland, Texas) adding 14 points and Makenzee Fagenbush (Cheyenne, Wyoming) had 11.

Ja'Kia Wells (Mesquite, Texas) pulled in a game-high 11 rebounds, while dishing four assists and chalking up three steals. O'Connor also posted three steals.

Laramie County shot 40.5 percent in the game, while CSU Club Team hit 15.3 percent from the field overall and only 11.5 percent from beyond the arc. LCCC was 8-24 (33.3 percent) from three-point range.

The Golden Eagles will host Colorado Springs Ballers at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
