LCCC Women Drop Road Game at Trinidad State

Trinidad, Colorado – The Laramie County Community College women's basketball team fell on the road 70-65 to Trinidad State Junior College on Tuesday night.

The Golden Eagles drop to 4-3 on the regular season. Gabi O'Connor (Colorado Springs, Colorado) led the team with 18 points, shooting 7-21 from the field and pulling in six rebounds. Karli O'Brien (Rapid City, South Dakota) had 16 points on 6-12 shooting from the field and going 4-7 at the line. O'Brien posted a team-best six rebounds, five assists and four steals. Haylie Anderson (Clearfield, Utah) added 11 points, while Ja'Kia Wells (Mesquite, Texas) added six rebounds.

LCCC hit 37.9 percent of its shots, while Trinidad State made 37.9 percent. Both teams had 14 turnovers but the Golden Eagles got outrebounded 47-38.

The Golden Eagles will compete in the McCook College Classic on Friday, facing off against Northwest Kansas Technical College at 4 p.m.
