Arnold and Kruthaupt Sign with NAIA Programs

Cheyenne, Wyo. – Two Laramie County Community College women's basketball players have signed National Letters of Intent with NAIA programs. Sophomore Caylin Arnold has signed with William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa and freshman Sarah Kruthaupt has signed with Benedictine University at Mesa in Mesa, Arizona.

Arnold is a Strasburg, Colorado native who averaged 6.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game this season for the Golden Eagles. She had a season high 19 points on Jan. 27th at home against North Platte Community College. She recorded two double-doubles on the year. In her two seasons at LCCC she averaged 9.3 ppg and shot 44.1 percent from the field. On the defensive end she averaged 5.8 rebounds per game in her career.

William Penn finished 23-9 this past season and received a bid for to the NAIA National Tournament falling in the first round. They also reached the Championship game in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

Kruthaupt is a Las Vegas, Nevada native who averaged 11.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game for the Golden Eagles. She was leading scorer for the Golden Eagles this past season and was second on the team in assists with 2.2 a game. She had a career-high 26 points on Jan. 13th on the road against Trinidad State Junior College. Sarah pulled down career-high 11 rebounds on the road on Feb. 24th against Otero Junior College.

The Redhawks of Benedictine at Mesa finished the year 16-12 and reached the semi-finals of the California Pacific Conference.

Both ladies helped the Golden Eagles improve this season as they increased their win totals by five this season finished 15-16 in year two of the program coming back.
