LCCC Women’s Basketball Open Road Trip with 70-55 Win

PRICE, UT – The Laramie County Community College women's basketball team had a strong showing in its road opener on Friday, powering to a 70-55 win over Colorado Northwestern Community College behind the explosive effort of Darian Hale (Briggsdale, Colorado).

This is the second consecutive win for the Golden Eagles after they defeated Sheridan College last Saturday. Laramie County is now 2-2 for the season.

Hale paced the Golden Eagles with 16 points. Fellow sophomore Madison Hamm (Fort Collins, Colorado) matched her by adding 16 points, while Caylin Arnold (Strasburg, Colorado) had nine points.

The Golden Eagles shot 42.2 percent from the field, only shot 16.7 percent from behind the arc and shot 70 percent from the free throw line.

Colorado Northwestern was led by a 17-point effort from Analiza Elizondo. Alyssa Nielsen added 10 points.

CNCC shot 32.2 percent from the field, 32 percent from long-range, and 52.9 percent from the free throw line. LCCC edged CNCC in rebounds 44-39.

The Golden Eagles will stay on the road Saturday, Nov. 11, with a 3 p.m. tipoff against USU-Eastern Utah.
