CHEYENNE – The Laramie County Community College women's basketball team was in action on Saturday as they hit the court for the third time this season. The Golden Eagles defeated Sheridan College 82-68 at home.
The Golden Eagles bounced back after dropping their first two matches of the season. They were led by Madison Hamm (Fort Collins, Colorado) who had 16 points and 11 rebounds for the double-double. The team is now 1-2 overall.
Three other Golden Eagles scored in double figures, Darian Hale (Briggsdale, Colorado) had 15, Skylar Backstrom (Castle Rock, Colorado) added 13 and Karli O'Brien (Rapid City, South Dakota) finished with 11.
LCCC shot 42.1 percent from the field and 86.7 percent from the foul-line. The Generals were led by Raelynn Keefer who had a game-high 22 points.
LCCC will hit the road for the first time this season with a trip to Price, Utah for games against Colorado Northwestern Community College and USU-Eastern on Friday and Saturday.
