CHEYENNE – The No. 6-seed Laramie County Community College women's basketball team will travel to No. 3-seed Otero Junior College at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 3, for the first round of the Region IX Tournament.

The Golden Eagles (11-16) solidified their No. 6 seed on Saturday, Feb. 25, after a 71-66 victory over Lamar Community College in the RAC. Laramie County was led by a 23-point effort from freshman Caylin Arnold, who went 9-of-16 from the field and 5-of-5 from the foul line. Freshman Kate Fiscus also had a good night, dropping a career-high 12 points.
The Rattlers clinched their No. 3 seed with a win over McCook Community College, 57-53. Savannah Madrid-Andrews led the scoring for OJC with 20 points.
