Golden Eagles Win at Home against Northeastern JC

Cheyenne, Wyoming – The Laramie County Community College Golden Eagles women's basketball team hosted South Sub-Region opponent, Northeastern Junior College, on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles won by a score of 74-67, improving to 10-16 overall on the year.

A strong performance from Darian Hale (Briggsdale, Colorado) and Caylin Arnold (Strasburg, Colorado) led to LCCC's comeback in the 4th quarter, outscoring NJC 28-20. Hale led LCCC in scoring with 25 points, shooting 8-of-13 from the field and 6-of-6 from the free-throw line. She also added six rebounds and four assists. Arnold finished the night with 19 points and seven rebounds. Madison Hamm (Fort Collins, Colorado) added 14 points, five rebounds and three steals.

As a team the Golden Eagles shot 38.8 percent (26-of-67) from the field, 33.3 percent (6-of-18) from the three-point line and 80 percent (16-of-20) from the foul line.

The Golden Eagles will close out the regular season as they host Lamar Community College in a South Sub-Region match-up at the RAC, Saturday, February 25. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
