Rodeo Teams Compete at Lamar Rodeo

LAMAR, Colo. – The Laramie County Community College Rodeo teams competed at the Lamar Community College over the weekend. The men's team placed seventh in Lamar and the women's team finished eighth. The men scored 80 points and remain fifth in the Central Rocky Mountain Region standings. The women scored 65 points and sit in ninth in the Central Rocky Mountain Region standings.

Ian McGivney (Kaycee, Wyoming) finished fifth in the Saddle Bronc Riding. McGivney scored 75 points in the long-go, which was the highest in the round. He was unable to secure a score in the short-go.

Danny Goold (Douglas, Wyoming) was seventh in the average for Steer Wrestling. His time on two runs was 19.1.

Jaylee Simonson (Dunning, Nebraska) placed seventh in the Goat Tying with a time of 18.9 on two. Caydee Johnson (Manhattan, Montana) took ninth with a time of 20.7 on two.

Sydney Adamson (Cody, Nebraska) finished seventh in the average for Break Away Roping. Her time of 2.7 in the long-go was the fastest in the round. Adamson had a no time in the short-go.

The LCCC Rodeo team will host the Shawn Dubie Memorial Rodeo next weekend for the final rodeo of the fall season.
